Our Vineyards
We farm in accordance with the rhythms of nature, without chemicals and with deep respect for the soil we inherited from our ancestors. Come with us to see the places where the character and energy of our wines are born.

The vineyard is located on the southern slope of Sukov hill in Kutná Hora. The soil profile here is shallow, in places we find only 10 cm of soil, under which is rocky bedrock formed by gneiss.
The location is very dry, harsh and Burgundy varieties such as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier thrive here, from white varieties Riesling.
This is our largest vineyard, we grow vines here on 20 hectares, where 15 hectares is planting from 2011 and the remaining 5 hectares is our oldest vineyard planted in the 70s of the last century,
the so-called "Old Vines". You will find varieties such as Saint Laurent and Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer or Chardonnay. We make wine from Old Vines only in the best vintages.

In the very historical center of Kutná Hora is our smallest vineyard. It spreads on terraces directly below the Church of St. Barbara. We restored this vineyard, where you will find our tasting stand, and from where you can enjoy not only wine, but also a beautiful view of the city and the Vrchlice valley, after a hundred years with the help of Kutná Hora citizens in 2011.
The soil consists of fill. The bedrock is hard, rocky and is formed by migmatites. The slope inclination is a steep 40°, so all work is done by hand. We grow mainly Pinot Noir here, part by the so-called head training method. In addition, you can also get to know forgotten varieties such as Traminer White, Riesling Gold and others.

This vineyard is located below Kaňk hill in Kutná Hora and was planted in 2011. The soil consists of well-watered brown earth with calcareous sediments of the Mesozoic sea. On 16 hectares we grow white varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Gris or Gewürztraminer, but also Muscat Ottonel.
From blue varieties you will find Saint Laurent and a Pinot Noir clone bank, thanks to which we monitor which clones of this noble variety suit our location best. Next to the vineyard is a pasture with a flock of Šumava sheep (original Czech national breed). They provide us with valuable organic matter for the vineyards and sausages for our visitors.

Vineyard with an area of 6.5 hectares restored in 2010 in close proximity to the Empire gem, Kačina Castle in the village of Svatý Mikuláš near Kutná Hora. The soil here is sandy, formed by loess. The bedrock is formed by river sands to a depth of 25 m.
The tradition of growing grapevines was founded here by Count Chotek in 1826 and 3 years later the first vintage took place here.
In the vineyard we grow Pinot Noir and its bud mutation Jakubské (the name Pinot Précoce Noir is used in the world), as well as interspecific varieties Solaris, Regent and Phoenix, which were bred for their resistance to molds and are thus excellent for organic farming.

Directly opposite Hospital Kuks near Jaroměř is a terraced vineyard with an area of 0.35 ha. The tradition of vine growing in this area was founded by Count Špork. The vineyard was restored by the founder of our winery Stanislav Rudolfský in 2005.
Burgundy varieties Pinot Blanc, Gris and Noir are planted on marlstone bedrock, planted by the ancient head training method in a 1x1 m spacing. Here too, all work in the vineyard is done by hand. From these grapes, he then produces the sparkling wine Cuvée Kuks using the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle.

A church on a hill, a vineyard by the church, a gazebo in the middle of the vineyard and a well in it. The vineyard in Sadská is known for growing classic Burgundy clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties in a unique, very dense spacing (90x70 cm) on marlstone bedrock, which gives the wine a unique mineral, almost salty character.

While ecology is becoming a trend, for us it has been a natural practice since 2009. We believe that the heart of wine beats in the vineyard, not in marketing brochures. Therefore, we eliminated chemistry and bet on the cycle of nature.
In the vineyards, we plant trees, graze sheep, and grow seeds for green manure in the fields. We create a place where vines and wild nature thrive in mutual symbiosis.

Using our own compost and biochar, we return life to the soil and improve its ability to retain water. On the slopes, we build "swales" that help soak up water from torrential rains.

We support local non-profit organizations and employ people disadvantaged in the labor market. We are constantly educating ourselves, participating in scientific projects, and applying findings directly into practice.

In this exclusive range, we present the best wines of each vintage, which carry the legacy of Karel Schwarzenberg. With respect to his personal taste, we continue to select TOP wines to which the prince lent his family crest. It still adorns their labels today as a seal of the highest quality.

Jsme hrdí, že naše vína můžete ochutnat v prestižních podnicích oceněných v MICHELIN Guide pro Českou republiku.
